About Me

I serve as Membership Chair for the Women’s National Book Association Nashville Chapter, and I'm a member of numerous other author-focused organizations, including the Women’s Fiction Writers Association. I'm a panelist for the 2024 WriterFest Nashville conference, a co-editor of Killer Nashville magazine, and a judge for the Silver Falcon literary awards. My favorite activity is attending in-person conferences and virtual writing workshops by industry experts.

I live with my husband David (my biggest fan, he’ll tell you) and I’m the proud mother of Jacquelyn, an amazing digital artist. Above all, I’m a daily writing addict. I’m not happy until I’ve worked on a manuscript or written creatively.

For many years, professional goals and motherhood took priority over honoring my creative self, until I wrote Backroads of the Heart. In writing this novel, I also explored my love of songwriting by adding lyrics from songs I’ve written to the story.
